REAL IMPLEMENTATIONS / CODING

Building a topic-briefing app with Goose

Angie Jones used Goose and specialized agents during a public workshop to build AI BriefMe, a web app that generates topic briefings.

THE ACTUAL IMPLEMENTATION

What they built.

Angie Jones's AI BriefMe workshop account describes a working local application assembled with specialized Goose agents. The application accepts a topic and displays a structured briefing, showing a concrete result that a reader can connect to the documented development sequence.

The same account preserves the unfinished work. Its QA discussion identifies security and operational problems, so the result is best understood as a prototype for learning and exploration. The earlier Flask plan should not replace the Express implementation actually described later in the article.

How the tools work together

The build separates product planning, interface and server work, then testing and documentation. Headless Goose supplies content generation inside the application as well as assistance during construction. This creates two distinct places to evaluate behavior: the development process and the finished application's responses.

Workflow at a glance

  1. Plan the application

Specialist agents define the product scope and API.

  2. Build the interface and server

Frontend and backend work runs in parallel; the backend invokes Headless Goose.

  3. Test and document

QA and writing agents identify issues and prepare setup and API documentation.

How you could adapt the idea

Reproduce the interaction with harmless sample topics and local access first. Inspect the server's process invocation and input handling before sharing it with others, and address the published authentication and rate-limit gaps. Treat the workshop timing as context, not a promised schedule for production work.

Effort, cost and limitations

Effort
Author reports the workshop prototype was working by the end of one hour; that timing is not a general delivery estimate.
Cost
Not disclosed by the source.

The published QA flags command-injection risk, missing authentication/rate limiting and performance/scaling concerns.

The demonstration is explicitly a local prototype, not production-ready software.
